What is reyhan?
Reyhan is the Azerbaijani name for basil. Purple varieties, with their deep colour and pronounced aroma, are particularly relevant to the REYVA concept.
The character of purple basil
Herbal, aromatic and slightly sweet-scented, with leaves that range from violet to near-black aubergine. It is valued for flavour and appearance.

The tradition of reyhan kompotu
The general idea is simple: purple basil steeped in water, balanced with sweetness and a touch of acidity, often lemon. Quantities, timing and additions differ from one household to the next.
From familiar flavour to new format
REYVA takes inspiration from this tradition without presenting itself as the traditional drink. It is a modern sparkling concept that carries the memory of a familiar flavour.
A living cultural connection
The geometric ornament on the can is inspired by Azerbaijani decorative design, an homage, not a reproduction of any specific historic pattern.
